Prior to purchasing and/or developing a site we provide feasibility studies: Property Condition Assessments [Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) are provided by firms we are associated with] to assist in assessing the cost of developing the site based on it’s soil, karst activity (sinkhole) and water conditions, design development, and in selecting a foundation system that accommodates the project needs and possible budgetary constraints. Based on the conditions encountered onsite RE&A provides cost effective solutions based on risk analysis. During site development we can assist with monitoring undercut of unsuitable materials, ensuring the suitability of structural fill, monitoring the installation of foundation systems, and providing recommendations for stabilization of soils.

When pavement systems become distressed a structure settles, or a component of the structure shows signs of distress, due to soil subsidence, karst conditions (sinkhole). RE&A will evaluate the existing conditions and provide remedial recommendations. Conditions which warrant more than one discipline for proper evaluation can be easily handled by our team of expert associates.

Construction Engineering Inspections (CEI)

During the construction of roadways and bridge structures, RE&A can assist by providing certified individuals to inspect the placement of asphalt, concrete, base course, and reinforcement steel placement, and to maintain proper documentation as required by the governing agency.

Property Condition Assessments (PCA)

If you are preparing to purchase or renovate an existing property, or establish an ongoing maintenance program for your existing structure(s), RE&A can assist by assessing the existing conditions of the facility and providing timelines for replacement and/or repair of major components (i.e. landscaping, pavement, HVAC systems, roofing, irrigation systems, painting, parking lot maintenance, etc...) We will establish a timeline for the expected replacement of these items and the associated costs. We can provide Phase 1 ESA’s through our network of associate firms.

Forensic Engineering & Expert Witness

Neutral Evaluator for Sinkhole Investigations

In the State of Florida an individual or an insurance company can request a neutral evaluator to resolve a sinkhole dispute between parties.
